Here it is!!!
Well, here is the first chapter of my first fic! Please review!!

Pairing: Paul/George
Title: Unexpected Confessions
Rating: PG13
Summary: George is troubled by his feelings for Paul. Little does he know Paul feels the same way...

John, Paul, George and Ringo had just finished the first press conference in America. As they were sitting in the car, being driven back to the hotel, they discussed the stupidity of the questions they had been asked by some of the journalists.

“Now really, why do they ask us ‘whether we are bold’? Can’t they think of something remotely interesting? And how should we know ‘how our music affects the fans’? Ask the bloody fans!” George ranted.

Paul put his hand on his fellow band mate’s leg, “Calm down, they’re just stupid. And we have to listen to the same questions all year, they are asked on every press conference. Try not to get so upset about it.”

George subsided a bit, partly because what Paul had said was true, but mainly because Paul’s hand on his thigh distracted him so much he couldn’t think about the press conference anymore. It was as though a jolt of fire raced through his body.

He’d been having a hard time trying to disguise his feelings for Paul, and he was afraid that John was starting to suspect something. He had to admit, it was starting to get a bit too obvious, because George would always sit or stand next to Paul. He was always searching for excuses to touch Paul: a hair that had gone astray, dust on his jacket, guiding Paul through a door with his hand on the small of his back. The actions looked so innocent separately, but if you looked closer it was fairly easy to see that George was head over heels in love with Paul McCartney.

As soon as George had his body under control again, he answered Paul, “I know I shouldn’t, but don’t you ever get angry at those stupid gits? They’re supposed to have studied for the job, but I never noticed any skill in one of them.”

“Well, there’s not much we can do about it. We’ll just have to sit through the conferences and answer politely. At least there are four of us and we’re not on our own.”

John and Ringo nodded in agreement; they always let Paul calm George down because they knew he was best at it, and, as always Paul was doing a good job.

The rest of the ride they talked about their schedule for the rest of their stay in America. George noticed that Paul was very quiet and was scared he had shown too much of his feelings towards the other man. He tried to act as normal as possible.

When they got back to their room George decided he had to tell Paul. Things couldn’t go on like this for much longer. Every time he shared Paul’s mic, he could sense Paul’s warmth and tingles shot all through his body. If he didn’t talk to Paul, it would cause even more damage than if he did. His feelings were only growing stronger and stronger as time passed. Then someday, he wouldn’t be able to control himself. On the other hand, if he decided to tell Paul about his feelings now, he would risk a rift between them, a rift that could mean the end of their friendship…
He took a deep breath, and asked Paul: “Could you come into our room? I need to talk to you about something.”

When George got angry about something Paul always was the one who calmed him. He didn’t know why he took that role, but it fit him.

As he put his hand on George’s leg, he thought for a moment he felt something unfamiliar stir inside him. ‘No, my mind is starting to play tricks with me,’ he thought, and decided to ignore the feeling. The rest of the ride he couldn’t help but think about his reaction to touching George. As he was thinking about it, he realized he had had this reaction to George before on several occasions. He glanced sideways to George, and suddenly he got a strange feeling in his stomach. ‘Could it be? No, impossible. I’d have noticed it before if it were. It’s just my mind again’ He couldn’t help noticing though how good George looked. His friend laughed at a joke John made, it made his eyes shine. ‘Maybe it is true then. But even if that is so, I can’t tell him. It would risk everything. I simply cannot tell him.’

Having made up his mind, he shook off the stream of thoughts and started paying attention to the conversation. He didn’t notice the funny look George gave him.

As they walked back to their room he followed George. The man dropped his key trying to open the door. He bent over to pick it up. Paul couldn’t help his next train of thought, ‘was that me or did he stick his bum out more than necessary? Not that I mind, though.’ He snapped out of it as he noticed John looking at him funny. He felt himself blush, and he didn’t meet John’s eyes. ‘This could get tricky. He will figure it out. Maybe I should tell John.’

When George said he wanted to talk to him it startled him. ‘It couldn’t be. How did he notice? I haven’t been that obvious, have I? How could he know? He’ll kill me.’

“Sit down,” George said. “I have something to tell you. Please let me finish before you get angry with me.”

Paul didn’t know what to think, so he nodded and quietly sat down on the bed.

“I want you to know that what ever your reaction to what I have to say may be, I’ll accept your decision. I have something to say that may have a great impact on our relationship as friends,” George began, “I’ve been feeling like this for almost a year now. Every time I see you, or hear you talk, my hearts start beating faster. I can’t stop thinking about you. I can hardly sleep anymore. I don’t know how to say this, but – I think I’m in love with you… Now I can und-” He was cut of in the middle of his sentence as Paul suddenly rose to his feet.

As it dawned on Paul what George was saying, he couldn’t believe it. He didn’t take time to think, acting on instinct. He rose just as George spoke the words, and when the words registered, he couldn’t do anything to stop his body even if he had wanted to.

He took a step closer to George, and trailed his hand past the man’s surreal cheekbones. Paul gently touched those wonderful, soft lips he had wanted to touch from the moment George started talking. He leaned his head in and gently placed a kiss on those very lips. They felt as soft as they looked.

He placed his hand behind George’s neck, and leaned in for another kiss. As he felt George open his mouth to welcome him, he slipped his tongue in. How wonderful did the other man taste! It was so unlike any of the girls he had ever kissed. Kissing George was so much more intense, and left no room for stray thoughts in his mind. The bitter tang of the cigarette George had just smoked mixed with George’s own taste made Paul’s legs unsteady. He leaned against George’s body as he explored the others mouth and they fit together as though they were made for each other. He could feel George’s every muscle, and loved it.

The kiss grew even more passionate after they had adjusted to each other. Finally they had to pull apart for air.

“I had only dreamed you would react like this,” George whispered.

Paul smiled, “I never thought this was what you were going to say. I thought you had noticed my feelings towards you and were angry with me.” He chuckled, “this is so much better.”

George pulled Paul towards him for another kiss. They lay down on the bed and silently enjoyed this change in their relationship with one another.

After about half an hour they fell asleep, Paul lying behind George, with his arm around his new found lovers’ waist.
